RE Curriculum
Religious Education (R.E.) is central to the whole school curriculum and permeates all areas of the curriculum and school life. Through R.E, we enable pupils to become aware of God’s presence in their lives and help them to foster a caring, Christian attitude towards others, helping them to appreciate diversity and difference. Our aim is to promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of the pupils in our school. Through this subject, we aim to enable pupils to gain knowledge and understanding of the major world faiths, while recognising the many similarities and differences, which link these faiths together. Through the teaching of RE, we aim to develop the pupils ability to make reasoned and informed judgments about the different religions represented around the world and show them the importance of respecting others and themselves
